Established in 2021 under the guidance of Waiʻanae kūpuna, and led by concepts embedded in the Aloha Spirit Law, WMKC works to empower Waiʻanae-based community members to share information and take decisive, timely action to address the chronic social, environmental, and political issues – as defined by our community.
WMKC is also exploring opportunities for generating new forms of community partnership with U.S. military installations in Waiʻanae to acquire land and water resources to help restore cultural access and repair the severed connections between kānaka and ʻāina.
With the support of the Royal Order of Kamehameha, WMKC also ensures we conduct relevant cultural protocols across our community programming.
